About the Item

"The jewellery was a composition of diamonds and rubies and seemed as delicate, as pure and noble as a medieval work of art. A veritable magic seemed to surround this ardency of water gleam and red of rose (…)" – Excerpt from: Adalbert Stifter, Indian Summer, 1857. The effect of diamond and ruby jewellery, which enchants the protagonists of Stifter’s novel, is also discernible in this ring, which combines them in their purest forms. In its centre gleams a natural, untreated ruby in an intense rose red. The gemstone is cut as an oval-shaped cabochon in order to bring out its colour perfectly. The entire domed front of the ring, surrounding the central stone, is lavishly pavé-set with high quality diamonds, most of them internally flawless. In this ring, made in the last decade of the 20th century, the colours of the precious gemstones seem to intensify each other. Only the finest quality materials have been used here and are highlighted by the sleek, simple, yet ingenious design. An independent certificate by a renowned gemological institute will be delivered with the ring.
