About the Item

An impressive antique French 1.35 carat Thai ruby and 0.97 carat diamond, 18 karat white gold and platinum set twist ring; part of our diverse antique jewellery collections This stunning, fine and impressive antique ruby and diamond ring has been crafted in 18k white gold with a platinum setting. The ring displays a feature 0.97 ct Old European round cut diamond and a 1.35 ct cushion cut Thai ruby six-claw set diagonally on a twist within a pierced decorated platinum setting. The offset ring shoulders integrate into the twist design and blend seamlessly with the plain ring shank. The exterior of the ring shank is hallmarked with the French 18k gold guarantee mark (eagle's head) and the interior bears the maker's mark (NUPTIA). This antique twist ring has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 karat gold and platinum. The antique ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate for the feature diamond, in addition to an independent gemstone grading report card for the ruby. NOTE: * The Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) lab has verbally accredited the ruby originating in Thailand and verifies that the gemstone shows indications of moderate heating. Images do not always reflect the true color and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual color and showcases each stone. Condition This antique gemstone twist ring is fine quality, set with high color graded diamond displaying a fine white color, brilliance and presence. The impressive ruby displays a fine color, brilliance and presence. The ring is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition, with a very clear maker's mark to the interior of the shank. The French hallmarks to the outer surface of the shank have wear in keeping with age and location.
