Mid-Century 7 Carat Three-Stone Emerald Cut, Round Cut and Baguette Cut Diamond Ballerina Engagement Ring in Platinum, French, 1950s/1960s. This dramatic jewel features a central old emerald-cut diamond flanked to each side by an Old European brilliant-cut diamond, within a border of graduated baguette-cut diamonds above and below, all stones to a classic ballerina design with fancy wirework open galleries that gently flow through to a fluted platinum shank. This ring is so chic that it would easily be the perfect engagement ring but also a chic cocktail or dress ring. Main diamond approximately 3.16 carats, H/I color, VVS2/VS1 clarity. Side diamonds estimated as 1.15 carats, F/G color, SI1 clarity; and 1.16 carats, H/I color, VS1 clarity. Baguette-cut diamonds approximately 1.50 carats in total, F/G color, VS clarity. French assay mark for platinum, maker’s mark “A B”, later Portuguese import marks for platinum 950. Gross weight: 14.01g. Finger size: 56 (EU) but can be sized up or down. Gross weight: 14.05g.
