About the Item

A Douglas Elliott 18k rose gold 'Victoria Rose' setting featuring 2.36 carats of micro pave diamonds and a two carat oval Morganite center stone. This ring features a basket setting covered in micro pave around the center stone. This ring is nothing less than an amazing feat of jewelry engineering. Designed by top New York City luxury designer Douglas Elliott for Marisa Perry Atelier in New York's Greenwich Village. The Victoria Rose ring was created as a collaborative effort between the designer, a master jeweler and a master stone setter. The result is five rows of the smallest perfectly round faceted diamonds, each set under a microscope, into a solid piece of 18k rose gold. The design features diamonds set as high up the prongs as physically possible. Douglas Elliott created this ring in order to accentuate the beauty of the center stone by creating a beautiful basket to hold the oval Morganite and to explore the potentials of his micro pave work. With a total diamond weight of 2.36 carats there are over three hundred diamonds in the ring. The band features a center row of 1.00 mm diamonds flanked by a row of 0.90 mm diamonds one each side, with the outer most rows composed of 0.80 mm diamonds. Morganite is the light pink cousin of the Emerald and is a rising star among gemstones because of its beautiful color and gemological quality. As a gem Morganite is similar to Emerald because of its hardness. One advantage Morganite has over the Emerald is its clarity. The Morganite featured in this stone is well cut and demonstrates exceptional brilliance. In the Victoria Rose, the beautiful light pink stone floats atop a glistening river of diamonds. The 18k rose gold perfectly compliments the Morganite's color and adds overall richness and depth of beauty to the design. Available only as a custom order.
