The square cushion mixed cut stone has all the attributes of a top quality gem - it comes with an American Gemstone Laboratory (AGL) report - stating no gemological evidence of heating or clarity enhancement. This stunning stone is carefully hand set into a basket of fine claws - a Victorian era buttercup style setting that showcases the gem perfectly. The shank of the ring graduates gently from the shoulders down to the back of the ring and features gold bead work through the shoulders. Worthy and capable of everyday wear as sapphires rank 9 on the Mohs scale of hardness, only inferior to diamonds, so this ring is perfect as an engagement ring and something that can be worn regularly.
