3.37 Carat Pear Cut Sapphire and Baguette Platinum Ring
About the Item
From our Beverly Hills Estate Collection, this Platinum Pear cut Sapphire & Baguette Ring features a central 3.37 carat Pear cut Natural Blue Sapphire at 12mm x 9.5mm at widest, secured in a 5-Prong setting with a secure V-Prong at tip of Sapphire. The French were among the first to use the Pear cut in jewelry, starting with the multi-faceted Briolette cut approximately 200 years ago.. Throughout time recreated into the classic Pear shaped cut. Can be worn with the tip pointing whichever way desired. Sapphire does contain natural internal inclusions - customary in Natural Sapphires this large in size, and simply a characteristic of naturally earth-mined Gemstones. Flanked with 2 Tapered Baguette cut Natural Cornflower "Ceylon" Blue Side Sapphires totaling 0.83 carats each secured in-between two Platinum bars. Quite unusual to see the Sapphire baguettes, as most rings of this nature were accented with Baguette cut Diamonds. In the most durable metal, Platinum, certainly suitable for everyday wear. The ideal engagement / statement ring for the woman with a true passion for Sapphires, as well as the September born. In a Classic, timeless design, with the most understated precious Gemstone in all three settings - also an homage to the Past, Present, Future three-stone.
Stamped "10% IRID PLAT" inside shank.
