Antique Edwardian 5 Carat DTW Diamond Ring
About the Item
This exceptional antique piece was crafted sometime during the Edwardian design period (1900-1920). The 18K gold setting proudly displays five stunning Old European cut antique diamonds. The center diamond measures approximately 2 carats, grades approximately K in color, and SI2 in clarity. The two diamonds flanking the center diamond measure approximately 1 carat each, grade J in color, and SI1 in clarity. The outermost diamonds measure approximately 0.50 carats each, grade approximately I in color, and VS2 in clarity. The ring has a total combined diamond weight of approximately 5 carats. The filigree setting features a regal flourish motif along with 8 tiny old cut diamonds interspersed along the top of the setting. During the Victorian and Edwardian design periods the five stone ring was a jewelry staple. The five stones were to commemorate love, trust, communication, commitment, and empathy; the five values that sustain a lasting marriage. This antique ring is currently a size 9.
