About the Item

A new style for a new era: Amidst the ever-changing world of the years after WWI, artists and jewellers alike sought new forms of expression, and found it with the angular lines of Art Déco. With its strict geomeotries, its modern shapes resembling no other style that had come before, it was perfectly suited to accompany its wearers in the cabarets of the Weimar Republic, or the parties secretly held during prohibition time in the US. The ring at hand dates to this short-lived but culturally vibrant era, more specifically to the years around 1930. White platinum and diamonds are combined into a design that lives up to the highest standards of its time. Three large old European cut diamonds gleam in the centre of the elongated ring face. To the left and right, smaller round and baguette-cut diamonds lead over into the band. Millegrain decor structures the surface of the platinum, visually enriching it. The ring is a beautiful example of the precision that marks the craftsmanship of the time: The longer one looks, the more one is inclined to admire the master who was at work here. The diamond ring is in very good condition and, due to its flat surface design, can comfortably be worn daily.
