Edwardian Opal and Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1910
About the Item
This stunning handmade ring dates Back to 1910, and is classically Edwardian in design. The stunning opal in the centre weighs 6.50 carat and is a natural stone. It has lovely colour running through it and is carefully claw set within the platinum setting. It is beautifully haloed by diamond which are scalloped. The diamonds are old cuts and combine to a weight of 2.00 carats. They are estimated as H in colour and SI in clarity, typical of the era and are grain set. The gallery work is exquisite and is crafted from 18 carat yellow gold which leads into the shoulders. The shoulders spilt into three, and reconnect to the shank.
