An exceptionally rare natural fancy red diamond is set in this one-of-a-kind ring. The highly desirable radiant-cut gemstone weighs 0.36 carat and displays a unique red coloration that is seldom seen in the world of colored diamonds. The central gem alone is spectacular, but it is joined by an array of other rare colored diamonds to include pink diamonds totaling 0.31 carat and blue diamonds totaling 0.14 carat. The ring's dynamic, Art Deco-inspired platinum and 18K yellow gold setting truly brings these superb gems to life, and they are further accented by 1.03 carats of sparkling white diamonds. While diamonds have been unearthed in nearly every color of the rainbow, the conditions under which a natural colored diamond is created occur very rarely. It is estimated that only 1 in every 10,000 diamonds will possess any color. Red-colored diamonds are undoubtedly the rarest of the rare colors naturally achieved in these stones. The red diamond in this ring is certified by the Gemological Institute of America as natural fancy red, making it one of the most desirable diamonds in the world. Furthermore, this diamond is certified by Argyle Pink Diamonds as hailing from the famed Argyle mines in the remote east Kimberley region of Western Australia. While the Argyle diamond mine is the world's largest supplier of diamonds, just 1 percent of those stones found display red, pink, green or blue hues. It is widely believed to be the world's greatest source of colored diamonds, producing stones with a depth of color never seen before. Over the 33 years of Argyle Pink Diamond tenders, only around 20 total carats of certified red diamonds have ever been offered — this stone is among those rare few.
