Take a Good Look at this Stunning Gemstone Ring. You Won’t Find Another Like It! The star of this piece is the large, 3.13ct Natural Tsavorite Garnet that is graded ‘Vivid Yellowish-Green’. Tsavorite stones of this size, colour and clarity is very rare and we are thrilled to be able to offer it to you! They were only discovered in 1967 in the foothills of Tanzania and were quickly snapped up by Tiffany & Co. This gem was purchased during a recent trip to Hatton Garden in London. It is unheated with some natural inclusions that are unique and an identifying feature of this species of Garnet (seen under 10x magnification). The ring comes with a Lab Report from WGI (The World Gemological Institute) and an Australian Valuation Certificate with a Retail Replacement Value of A$21,000. The ring is crafted in 18ct white gold with a halo of white diamonds that are graded VS2-SI1 and colour G-H by the independent valuer. They weigh a total of approximately .54 carat and make a nice contrast to the green centre stone. This is a solid ring weighing approximately 5.50 grams and is size M which is resizable. The discerning buyer will appreciate the qualities of this gemstone which rivals the beauty of the Emerald and has been kept mostly hidden from the general public since its discovery in 1967 due its rarity. The colour of Tsavorite is lush, vivid green with a saturation that beats the Colombian Emerald. It is harder too, since it doesn’t have the same growth pattern and fractures as the Emerald, therefore, there is no need for oiling to enhance the clarity or colour of this gemstone and it is perfect for everyday wear. Given that Tsavorite is only found in Kenya and Tanzania, Africa, investing in this gem has proven to be advantageous.
