Antique Adore Ring
15ct Gold
Circa 1880
Acrostic rings became popular throughout the Victorian period. The Adore ring being one of the romantic gifts typically given in the early stages of a relationship. The gemstones are set:
Amethyst
Diamond
Opal
Ruby
Emerald
The cabochon stones are mounted in lovely, hand carved yellow gold- with a fabulous detailed border. The shoulders are heart shaped & set with little cabochon rubies.
The face of the ring measures approx width 11.3mm & height 8.1mm
