The Peristome Inverted Diamond Ring – designed and handmade by EMBLM Fine Jewelry
Inspired by our signature twelve point star design, the triangular prongs enclose around a black diamond, reminiscent of a peristome — the fringe found around the mouth of certain mosses and fungi.
The 14k yellow gold band and surrounding points are sandblasted for a textured finish, in contrast to the facets of the beautiful diamond.

EMBLM Fine Jewelry
Founded in 2019 by Emily Landers-Sorensen and Mariko Enkoji-Busch, EMBLM was born out of a desire to create timeless, distinctive fine jewelry that can become treasured heirlooms with a personal significance to each individual wearer. The designs are at once iconic and intimate, drawing inspiration from various art forms and the natural world. With a commitment to ethical sourcing and practices, each piece is made-to-order in downtown Los Angeles by a gifted team of artisans. EMBLM was founded on the belief that we all have a shared responsibility to uplift and care for each other and our planet. We are committed to donating a portion of proceeds from select designs to various non-profit organizations. We have also established an Artist Partnership Collective – designed to promote creative collaboration between EMBLM and artists we admire. A portion of the profits from all collaborations are donated to an organization of the artist partner's choice.
