Natural fancy pink diamonds are among the rarest colored diamonds in existence and are coveted by collectors and jewelers alike. Fueling the craze for natural fancy pink diamonds is the realization that within the next two years 90% of the world's annual mine supply is stated to go off line. At current levels, the entire annual mine supply for pink diamonds will fit in a champagne glass. Given the popularity and demand, prices are expected to continue to steadily rise. Prices range from $160,000 to $500,000 per carat. Extraordinary pink diamonds like the 'Unique Pink' diamond auctioned at Sotheby's Geneva in May 2016 brought in over 2,000,000 per carat.
