Sterling Silver ‘Triangle’ Ring This piece was created when I was walking through NYC, where I live and work, and I noticed garden with a trellis that sloped up and looked like a triangle. It hit me that I could create a hollow triangle, one of simplicity but also statement making. Creating hollow forms are basically by bending and shaping the precious metal into the shape you want. Then, you solder that piece, standing up on a base, or bottom piece. I will post a video soon so that you can get a better idea. This ring is intentionally distressed, as is most of my work. Sterling Silver ‘Triangle’ Ring I just love the way a faceted gem contrasts with distressed precious metal, and this piece is a perfect example. Distressing the metal give me the chance to add a sense of character to the piece, instead having it look like everything else out there. I believe in jewelry as adornment - adding to the wearers personality and mood. The Peridot is 4mm wide with the added bezel adding a millimeter or 2.
