Antique Roman Intaglio in English Arts & Crafts 9 Karat Gold Setting

About the Item

This gem depicts a warrior with helmet and spear, a shield and a head. The intaglio is carved into a rather high oval carnelian. The mount is made out of 9 karat gold and impressed with 395, the letter p as well as the lions head for London. ring size R - 8 3/4
