About the Item

Men Signet Ring in elegant design decorated with highly reflective stone. Full set of Swedish hallmarks , 18k, maker's and date code is S8 / made in 1944. Crown is 18 mm x 15 mm x 4mm, with engraved decor on the edge.Orange Gold, radiant cut bezel set Hematite stone 13mm x 11 m x 3.5 mm deep / ca. 9 ct with flat and polished top. What makes this stone so attractive to be used in Jewelry making? It's a very high reflective index of 2.870–2.940. which is higher than that of a diamond 2.418. It reflects light fiercely, under the Sun the surface of this Hematite turns into a miniature mirror. And hardness of 5.5 – 6.5 Moh scale makes it appropriate for everyday wear. Fine used condition. The surface of the stone has very minor scratches. Size: Ø 8.75 US or 18.69 mm. Can be sized. Weight: 6.7 grams > Most of the items that we sell are not new at all if not stated otherwise. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described. Unfortunately Internet sales do not allow us to see the items in person before we get them by post. We will not be responsible if in the process of resizing or customization any stone on the ring becomes loose, if any deformation occurs in general or if band of the ring changes shape or becomes deformed. It is often difficult or impossible to get an accurate characteristics of the weight , color and nature of inclusions without removing the stones from the settings to be weighed and examined and doing that may damage the piece.
