  • Pluto Mercury Venus Mars Ring Sterling Silver Gold Virgin Mary
    By J DAUPHIN
    Located in Los Angeles, CA
Virgin Mary Medal Ring Sterling Silver Crest Pluto Mercury Venus or Mars Astrology J Dauphin You need to pick what planet you want to have on the Virgin Mary between Pluto Mercury Venus or Mars J DAUPHIN "Compassion" in Silver and 14 K Gold In times of transformation this ring symbolize Virgin Mary, compassion and love with the sign of Pluto, ruler of transformation and change. If you believe in the spiritual and/or is religious use this ring for protection letting these great forces work for you. Virgin mother, daughter of your son Humbler and higher than any other creature… You are she who so ennobled human nature That nature’s very maker did not disdain To himself be made by you. Virgin Mary is one of the greatest symbols for humility and faith, the perfect mother and the perfect virgin. Catholic artists, responding to the Protestant minimisation of her part in humanity’s salvation, re-emphasised her position as mother of God. She also takes on a growing role of her own in the lives of the faithful, as the supreme intercessor between her son and those who worship him. What is remarkable, across all these depictions, is that Mary almost never gazes at the viewer. Her eyes are invariably downcast, suggesting solemnity, a soul turned inward, and the tragic foreknowledge of her son’s fate. In Roman Mythology, Pluto is known as god of the underworld. Its symbol contains a crescent placed above a cross, and inside the crescent curve, there is a circle. The planet Pluto is known to have powers of transformation and change. Those associated with the planet Pluto are constantly reinventing themselves - and if they fall, they can pick themselves up again. Those influenced by this planet are constantly creating new beginnings in their lives. Pluto's influence is shared by a whole generation. It is a slow-moving planet that is located in the outermost part of our solar system. This planet rules the zodiac sign Scorpio...

  • Ancient Roman Green Chalcedony Plasma Intaglio Ring of Goddess Victoria Nike
    Located in London, GB
A scarce ancient Roman intaglio dating from the 1st to 2nd century AD, depicting Victoria, the Roman Goddess of Victory (also known as Nike in Greek mythology). The cabochon gemstone is a chromium chalcedony, mottled green in colour. It was known in the ancient world as a ‘plasma’ stone and was widely used in jewellery and seals throughout the Roman Empire. However the mineral disappeared from use in the ancient world towards the end of the 2nd century AD when the known deposits were mined out. The intricate ancient engraving depicts a winged Victoria, draped and facing left, holding a palm branch in her right hand and a laurel leaf in her left. The green gem is translucent and contains small dotted black natural inclusions. The gemstone’s viridian green tones were linked to nature, growth, and prosperity, reflecting the Romans' appreciation for abundance and fertility. Victoria played a major part of Roman society, with many temples erected in her honour including one on the Palatine Hill which would house the spoils of war from Roman victories. She was, to the Romans, a symbol of victory over death, ultimately determining who would be successful during war. The high number of artistic and architectural dedications to her bear witness to the popularity of the goddess’ cult: Victoria widely appears on Roman coins...
