Small 18th century Gold Ring set with a Roman Magical Intaglio

About

A stooped single legged figure, who may be a version of Abraxus, I am not sure, is carved on a raised flat topped stone which has a green/black hue which I think is Heliotrope and would have been brought back to England as a memento of the Grand Tour and mounted in Gold for a member of the travellers aristocratic family. The mount has acanthus leaf divided shoulders to a plain and unmarked shank. Dimensions: 1cm wide x 1.2 cm long Condition: Good Finger size: USA 4 3/4 UK J CN 8 Roman 2nd/1st century BC English Gold Mount circa 1760 Price: $2000
