Antique Victorian Moonstone Diamond Navette Ring in 2.20ct Moonstone
About the Item
An exquisite antique Navette ring from the mid Victorian era crowned with a wonderful navette shaped moonstone with a ghostly, blue glow. It weighs approx. 2.20ct and is framed in a border of twenty-four old mine cut diamonds totalling approx. 1ct.
The face is modelled in 18ct gold and features a concealed locket on the reverse with plaited hair preserved behind a glass window. It was most likely kept in remembrance of a loved one so that a piece of them was always kept close to the wearer.
It was clearly very dear to its original owner and has been kept in pristine condition.
