Platinum Emerald and Diamond Solitaire Ring
About the Item
A beautiful rectangular emerald cut emerald is prong set into a platinum band, embellished with six single cut diamonds that add sparkle to the sides of the ring. The stunning natural emerald is 1.4 carats, well saturated and clear, making for a gorgeous pop of vibrant green. The elegant prong setting holds the gemstone in a simple basket—a timeless and classic solitaire ring. The diamonds are prong set as well, into a carved setting that becomes part of the design of the ring.
Emeralds are known as the “garden stone” because they have natural inclusions that can be as complex and beautiful as gardens within the stone. Inclusions can be found in the emerald in this ring, but this is a clear emerald with excellent color saturation. There is a beautiful transparency to the stone. It is a natural emerald and has been oil treated—a technique used with almost all emeralds to bring out the color of the stone.
The emerald measures 8 x 6.5 mm and is 1.4 carats. The single cut diamonds are .03 of a carat in total. The ring weighs 4 grams. It is marked on the inside as platinum.
This ring looks beautiful alone, or stacks well with other rings. It makes a wonderful alternative engagement ring.
