Antique Burma Ruby And Diamond Ring
About the Item
A coveted untreated Burma ruby centers this dazzling 19th-century Victorian-era ring. The 1.09-carat ruby is certified by the American Gemological Laboratories as being completely unheated, a prized rarity for rubies. Further, the AGL certifies the stone as being Burmese in origin, one of the oldest and most historically important regions for rubies. For centuries, the Burmese ruby has ranked among the most sought-after gemstones in the world. Due to a history of embargoes on these gems, most of the Burmese rubies in circulation today were mined decades ago, making the gems a rare find with dramatically increased value.
This radiant red ruby is complemented by a sparkling halo of white diamonds and two large diamonds on either side, totaling approximately 2.00 carats. It also comes in its original box. Set in yellow gold, the brilliance of this rare Burma ruby shines.
