Antique Victorian Rose-Cut Diamond Silver and Gold Ring
About the Item
This 14 karat yellow gold ring has a silver front setting, set with 7 rose-cut diamonds in various sizes and set in closed, silver rubbed settings. The shank of the ring is made of 14 karat yellow gold and crafted with a beautiful engraving. The silver frame where the diamonds are set has an openwork structure with engraved motifs.
Diamonds were set in silver settings to visually enhance their color and brilliance, while the backs and shanks were made of gold to prevent the silver from corroding and staining your skin.
The inside of the shank carries the Oak Leaf hallmark which stands for 14 karat gold, the silver Sword hallmark and makers mark. The ring is in very good condition and of high quality.
Ring size 17 and US 6.5 (inner circumference 53 mm)
