We are Isabella Day and Ford Hallam... Artist Jewellers and Goldsmiths with a combined experience of over 50 years at the bench. Our alchemical Renaissance metalwork happens in our magical studio in Devon where we are supported our Business administrator, Morgan. Together we are real old-fashioned Goldsmiths making remarkable, contemporary treasure. A rarity today but as tradition dictates, we blend all our own gold alloys and recycle all our metal. We have created over 28 different colours of gold which we then shape, forge and hand craft, entirely in house, into whatever you desire. Our creative philosophy and sense of colour has led us to specialise in distinct, colourful and ethical gemstones. Ford is a master Goldsmith of 40 years. He is the world’s leading expert in decorative Japanese metalsmithing and the only non-native ever to have been adopted into the Japanese tradition. His work is held in prestigious collections such as the V&A and Kiyomizu Sannenzaka Museum in Kyoto, Japan. From this comes much of the decorative technique we employ in our work. Our jewels are textured using Japanese Kinko techniques; working the metal with hammer, punch and chisel. Isabella is a Goldsmith of 15 years. Isabella has a particular concern for colour and tone in jewellery design. She was shortlisted for designer of the year in 2016 and this year has been selected as one of the top 100 female entrepreneurs for 2022.
