Antique Sterling Silver Pocket Watch, Victorian
About the Item
A handsome antique sterling silver cased pocket watch.
The case is fully hallmarked for sterling silver, 1884, Alfred Bedford for Waltham Watch company.
It has a white enamel dial with black roman numerals and blue steel hands, there is a subsidiary second dial with black hands.
To the reverse there is a small circular cartouche with an engine turned pattern surrounding.
Key wind watch, it does not come with the original key however we do supply it with a replacement antique key.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, running and ticking, the back of the case has a number of small dings, the glazing is a replacement and is perspex safety glass, general signs of use and wear, some wear to the inner cuvette and scratches,lots of aged patina.
As with all antique pocket watches we cannot guarantee accuracy, timekeeping or longevity and always recommend a full service particularly following travel, we do not provide a guarantee of working order.
A nice, good quality antique pocket watch and would make a lovely gift.
