It is Victorian, carved and turned walnut on a part-upholstered corner armchair
that is English or American from the late 19th Century according to our appraiser.
The seat is triangular with a rounded front rail, that is backed by two low arms with raised upholstery. The curved seat rail has a long fringe trim, all raised on four cylindrical bead turned legs on casters. The detachable fabric drape or shawl is priceless. Appraisers beleive this could have possibly been half of a two-piece tete-a-tete chair...
