Staffordshire Watchholder, Musicians with Sheep`S, Early 19th Century
Located in Hamburg, DE
Staffordshire figurines are a kind of popular ceramic figurines that were made in England from the 18th century onwards. The figurines described by this term are usually made of earthenware, although the early figurines may be made of stoneware, and the more expensive porcelain figurines made by the larger potteries in Staffordshire and elsewhere in England are not usually covered by this term. These reflect the metropolitan and international style and have been more carefully modeled and painted.
Of the wide variety of figurines produced, the Staffordshire dog figurine...
