no hay respuestas, sólo decisiones - ii
Nothing is permanent. This is an artwork that reflects on the impossibility of eternity. It challenges the viewer by forcing them to enjoy the moment and to cede control by accepting that the piece is changing, that the piece is no particular state it exhibits, and that it is all of them at the same time. This is a forever evolving piece. It never stops, and it never goes back to exactly the same state. It cycles through different possibilities, and each time it is viewed it might exhibit different characteristics.
It's a follow-up to the piece https://www.iillucid.com/no-hay-respuestas-solo-decisiones/, where the visual elements are arranged into a grid yet letting them evolve in the same fashion as before. The visual elements are still the outcome of overlapping / intersecting rings, however this time they are taken apart and, once removed of their origin, can be inspected on their own. Much like taking our life apart and inspecting every little aspect of it irrespective of their original context.
It includes some controls that let the viewer save an image (s) , increase resolution (d followed by a number between 1 and 9) and pause/resume the work (l).

Artwork by Marcelo Soria-Rodríguez, @msoriaro
Digital work: resolution variable, aspect ratio 1:1.77
Marcelo Soria-Rodríguez centers his work around the idea of expanding the total space that any activity can reach. He explores the new relationships that arise when synthetic entities with some kind of behaviour enter into society. He uses technology as a medium and as a subject of exploration itself, and creates art with the same focus.
Exhibition Notes
Art history lives on through the work Spanish artist Marcelo Soria-Rodríguez, whose abstractions muse on the emotional connection between man and machine using a visual language inspired by the pioneers of Orphism and Suprematism, including Wassily Kandinsky, Sonia and Robert Delaunay, Hilma af Klint, František Kupka and Francis Picabia.
Through the magic of software coding, each NFT “painting” evolves dynamically in “in-between times” as the viewer pauses and restarts the work, with the option of looping it indefinitely, setting in motion an endless cycle of painting and vanishing. According to the artist, this action broadens our concept of cognitive space and the possibilities of art as an emotional trigger.
