A new TLK designed Brutalist-inspired hot yoga studio design in Los Angeles. The space was previously an office with multiple partitions and low light. The area was repurposed with an open plan, added glass and large doors for maximum light and air circulation. The use of only three dominant materials in oak, limewash and metal contribute to a minimalist, cohesive feel. Both the reception and studio feature custom cabinetry in earthy warm oak for equipment and supply storage, retail display, seating and patron personal use. Heat panels and clean linear lighting finish the ceiling while the walls are animated with a cooler toned air cleansing lime wash, adding a cloud-like movement to the otherwise inanimate interior. The studio also offers multiple individual bathrooms and showers.
