Apartment by Wesley Moon Inc. in US

This Postwar Apartment on the Upper East side of Manhattan was still in its original 1960's state when we were hired by the new owners to renovate and decorate the space. The goal was to create a beautiful new home that's functional and equipped for entertaining on a variety of scales. The original space had no "architecture" to speak of. It was completely devoid of any details such as casings or crown mouldings. We created custom profiles in oak and plaster that not only add stature but also create the illusion of higher ceilings in their orientation. We gutted the entire space to reveal a more open flow while still maintaining the original definition of each room. We also installed central air-conditioning, architectural lighting, and a sophisticated AV system, as well as doubling the size of the kitchen by absorbing an old maid's room into the footprint. To decorate the apartment, we shopped all over the world, particularly Paris and London both in person and through 1stdibs.com, to find the perfect pieces. The result is a luxurious, well-appointed, elevated home that our clients love.
