A mindful London dwelling

The client was seeking a mindful address where wellbeing would be paramount. The family wanted a tranquil and harmonious home designed according to the principles of Feng Shui. Standard architectural fixtures needed to be adjusted to accommodate this vision.

The living spaces were harmonised with nature and specific design features. Creating as much natural light as possible was key to the design process to create a calm and peaceful mindset. Decorative vertical wood designs were integrated representing growth and expansion, channeling the designer’s take on contemporary Chinese décor.

As the clients are keen yoga and meditation practitioners, they naturally wanted their home to be a haven of wellbeing and natural light. “The idea was to have a neutral spaces with pops of colour inside which could be changed if necessary”.

Natural materials and tactile twists throughout give the rooms character and warmth while tranquil nooks offer the owners a space for meditation. Sliding glass doors at the rear usher in sunlight and lean outwards to the natural world via a grassy lawn.
