Brentwood English Cottage

The renovation and decoration of this 1930's English Tudor style cottage was a pleasurable task indeed. In collaboration with the owners, I added a great deal of new plaster, half timbering the walls, and refinishing the dark wood beams and trusses into a lighter hue. Adding new, painted cabinets, vintage light fixtures everywhere, remodeling the mantels, and adding skylights throughout, all this combined to create a brighter, lighter interior. The art and furnishings were edited and simplified, making a more contemporary use of this period styled structure and it's interior spaces.
