Morgan O'Hara: LIVE TRANSMISSION, ON STAGE

Mixed Use by Magdalena Keck Interior Design in New York, NY

"Morgan O'Hara: LIVE TRANSMISSION, ON STAGE," curated by Magdalena Keck, is currently on view at Roll & Hill, 3 Mercer Street in Soho, NYC. The drawings are part of O’Hara’s “LIVE TRANSMISSION” series, which has been in process since 1982 and that documents all types of movement by live beings. A line of text running along the bottom of each drawing reveals its subject and documents the exact date and site of each drawing. This particular selection focuses on O’Hara’s drawings of musicians and dancers including Anthony Braxton, Pierre Boulez, Henry Threadgill, English National Ballet, Pina Bausch, Merce Cunningham, and Min Tanaka. O'Hara is a 2018 recipient of the Lee Krasner Award in recognition of a lifetime of artistic achievement, and her work is in the permanent collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The National Gallery, and The British Museum among many other prestigious institutions worldwide.
