Schmidt Futures Global Headquarters

How do you envision a workplace culture and design an office for a company that will triple to quadruple in size in the next year? The CEO of Schmidt Futures, came to Schiller Projects with this unique challenge. Our solution created narrative studies for their projected future hires that theorized backgrounds, education, and previous work experience, inclusive of where they studied, ate lunch, read, socialized, etc. This exhaustive data-driven character initiative lead to creative office solutions that drive cohesive and dynamic community connection across disparate floors. This allowed us to meet the personal vision and expectations of Schmidt Futures, as well as both comfort and challenge these new hires in their philanthropic mission. Phase one included the renovation of a floor within a building which will eventually be gutted top to bottom to convert into a global headquarters for the company.
