Spanish Colonial Revival, Dallas

I cannot express how enjoyable it was to work on this project for such great folks in a wonderful and historic community, Highland Park.

Our clients wanted a Santa Barbara Spanish Colonial Revival style for their already constructed home. The extraordinary challenge is that

they had undertaken an addition to the home below the existing house. In the new space under the home we used groin vaulted terra-cotta ceilings with decorative tile. We added architectural detailing to the home’s exterior and throughout the home added beams and artisanal lighting, decorative tile floors and painted beam motifs that utterly transformed the character of the home into a Santa Barbara Style home. To furnish the home we used beautiful handcrafted or artisanal custom furnishings primarily from Gregorius Pineo.
