West Di Lido Residence

Family Home by Strang Architecture in Miami Beach, FL

This home expresses the notions of modernism and mid-century ideals by using thick horizontal slabs to equalize and punctuate the levels of living. The stately horizontal slabs separate the roof and second floor structure in handsome style. This horizontal expression occurs in both the Biscayne Bay waterfront wing and the street-side wing while also flanking a central garden courtyard. The entirety is complemented by floor-to-ceiling louvered doors, which open to the balconies and provide

a continuous flow from interior to exterior spaces.

Inside, the homeowner's unique water feature designed by a local Miami artist with a Swarovski Crystal Chandelier steals one's attention. Each bathroom is outfitted in custom marble and unlacquered brass Vola fixtures. Exposed concrete, a renowned art collection, local custom millwork, and a custom wine room with a glass feature wall make for a stunning interior.
