Brooke Garber Neidich
Jewelry Designer and Activist
The New York City-based Brooke Garber Neidich is the creative force behind fine jewelry line Sidney Garber. Garber Neidich has helmed the business since 2008, when she inherited it from her father Sidney Garber, whose eponymous jewelry store remains a Chicago institution since its establishment in 1946. Today, the Sidney Garber collection may be found at Barneys New York, The Row and Moda Operandi, as well as at the brand’s Madison Avenue store. A passionate advocate for children’s mental health, education and the arts, Garber Neidich donates all of her Sidney Garber proceeds to not-for-profit organizations supporting these causes. A prolific activist, she chairs the board of the Child Mind Institute (of which she is a co-founder), is a vice-chair of the board of the Lincoln Center Theatre and is a trustee of the Whitney Museum, whose board she co-chaired from 2008-2015 during the development and construction of the museum’s Renzo Piano-designed downtown Manhattan building. This week, Garber Neidich turns her discerning eye to 1stdibs. More
