How can you tell if a painting is vintage?

To tell if a painting is vintage, research the artist and determine when they were active. There are mobile apps that can help you identify the artist by referencing a photo of the signature on your painting. If your painting is over 20 years old but less than 100, it would generally be considered vintage. However, experts don't often use the term vintage to describe art.
