This is a gorgeous vintage YSL two piece ensemble, including a sheer, off shoulder ruffled peasant top and a long matching skirt. Worn together, they create a beautiful two piece maxi dress, or the pieces can be worn separately for more styling ability. This dress is made of a sheer black cotton voile with pale yellow, red, sage and brown floral print. The top is sheer, with a ruffled neckline with elastic and puff sleeves. It can be worn off or on shoulder. The sheer top is something that YSL introduced to fashion and his models were some of the first to go braless on the runway. This bold statement was meant to be about female empowerment and equality.
The skirt is long, full, and lined in sheer black. There is a separate matching fabric sash style belt and a side zipper and hook and eye on the left side for closure.
