Professor George De Goya. PhD. MA. FRSA. Born In Budapest, 1915-1992, related to the Spanish artist Goya on his mother’s side. Educated in Budapest and France where he received a degree in philosophy from the Sorbonne, Paris. Returned to Budapest to study art at the Fine Arts Academy, then continued his studies at the Academie Julienne, Paris, where he was influenced by the post impressionist artists including Picasso, Salvadore, Dali and Chagall. His motto was “history is the inevitable conveyance of great situations by great personalities.” He came to England due to the Hungarian uprising in 1956 where he taught history of art and art appreciation. Silvery Song of Resistance is a Drawing realized by Iranian Painter and Poet Parimah Avani in 2022. China ink and acrylic on ivory-colored paper. Hand-signed and dated with the embossing stamp. Excellent conditions. Presented in a Personal exhibition of "le Poesie Di Lutto e Di Lotta " (The Poems of Struggle and Mourning) curated by Leda Bartolucci in Turin, Italy, Bagni Pubblici, 2022. The artwork is poetically created through expressionistic brush strokes, the well-applied dry and watery strokes from the series “The Poems of Struggle and Mourning " representing revolutionary figures in a minimalistic manner. The figure on the right and left made an impressive composition dynamically. What makes this series unique: is deeply behind the dynamic emotion of each figure and abstract form, four colors here have metaphorical features; pink as woman, yellow as hope, silvery as resistance, and red as blood. Her works in this series challenge oppression, torture, censorship, and gender-related issues themes by applying oriental brushstrokes of calligraphy in ink as a primary tool, to fragile subjects. She portrays her Eastern identity through materials and techniques as a fundament, adding themes of today's socio-political concerns. In her Exhibition "Heroine's Journey" presented in the Sparkasse Plettenberg, Germany in 2023, with the same approach successfully presented revolutionary and rebellious gestures figures. The panoramic lines inspired by Persian calligraphy created motifs and repetition harmoniously in a neat composition,  each reminding mysterious words. The style of Persian calligraphy and her knowledge of poetry let her create a visual poem in an expressionistic style,  the use of space and maintaining an empty background and foreground intentionally have been made to emphasize the solitude and loneliness of figures and at the same time connect to oriental calligraphy in which empty space has the same value as the filled one, succeed to create pure incarnation. Avani's artworks have evident characteristics, firstly strongly inspired by Tachisme's “Abstraction lyrique" and artworks of Henri Michaux, and Hans Hurting secondly oriental Persian calligraphy of poem style is evident in her artworks, finally dynamic sensation of revolutionary art, the slogan of street wall transformed into contemporary language and its features intuitively are subtly inserted. Parimah Avani, born in 1988 in Tehran, Iran, is a multidisciplinary artist and a recognized figure in contemporary hermetic Persian literature and the avant-garde "Other" movement. Her book, "Magic Verses of Antalus," was a finalist for the prestigious "Shamlou" Award. Her most recent achievement is winning an art competition for a scholarship from Werkstatt Plettenberg in Germany, culminating in a solo exhibition held at the Gallery of the German Bank...

Outstanding pencil on paper Abstract drawing. Marcel Dumont was a Liège artist who painted in oils and gouache, also produced collages and was an illustrator and engraver, doing so in a number of different styles. Early on in his career, he tended to produce paintings displaying a poetic realism but this changed over time until, in 1957, he was employing geometric abstraction and later still, the influence of pop art could be discerned. His geometric style has strong linear structure which occasionally veers to expressionism and the effect of this is an interesting sense of detachment that the viewer of the work can feel and one engages with the subject on a different level than one would normally expect. What makes this series unique: is deeply behind the dynamic emotion of each figure and abstract form, four colors here have metaphorical features; pink as woman, yellow as hope, silvery as resistance, and red as blood. The panoramic lines inspired by Persian calligraphy created motifs and repetition harmoniously in a neat composition,  each reminding mysterious words. The style of Persian calligraphy and her knowledge of poetry let her create a visual poem in an expressionistic style,  the use of space and maintaining an empty background and foreground intentionally have been made to emphasize the solitude and loneliness of figures and at the same time connect to oriental calligraphy in which empty space has the same value as the filled one, succeed to create pure incarnation. Avani's artworks have evident characteristics, firstly strongly inspired by Tachisme's “Abstraction lyrique" and artworks of Henri Michaux, and Hans Hurting secondly oriental Persian calligraphy of poem style is evident in her artworks, finally dynamic sensation of revolutionary art, the slogan of street wall transformed into contemporary language and its features intuitively are subtly inserted. Parimah Avani, born in 1988 in Tehran, Iran, is a multidisciplinary artist and a recognized figure in contemporary hermetic Persian literature and the avant-garde "Other" movement. Her book, "Magic Verses of Antalus," was a finalist for the prestigious "Shamlou" Award.
