Alexander Aleksandrovich Vesnin (1883/1959)
fu uno dei principali esponenti dell'architettura costruttivista .
È noto soprattutto per i suoi meticolosi disegni prospettici come Leningrad Pravda del 1924.
Oltre ad essere un architetto, fu scenografo e pittore, [2] lavorando spesso con Lyubov Popova su progetti per festival operai e per il teatro di Tairov. Fu uno degli espositori della pionieristica mostra costruttivista 5×5=25 nel 1921. Era a capo, insieme a Moisei Ginzburg , del gruppo costruttivista OSA . [3] Tra gli edifici completati progettati dai fratelli Vesnin alla fine degli anni '20 c'erano i grandi magazzini, un club per ex prigionieri politici zaristi e il Palazzo della Cultura Likachev Works a Mosca. Vesnin era un sostenitore vocale delle opere di Le Corbusier , [4]e acclamò il suo edificio Tsentsoyuz come "il miglior edificio costruito a Mosca negli ultimi secoli".
