Born in Lima, Peru, Victor-Raul Garcia was raised by his maternal grandmother with whom he immigrated to the United States at age 6. An abstract painter and collage artist, he has lived and worked in Europe and the US, and currently maintains his studio in Sullivan County, NY. The artist puts his thumb upon the pulse of life and records it. In that mystical beat lies the unknown, and he would but make it known.
