Love 2017 Keith Carrington Artist statement: A new series entitled "Infinity" deals with the concept of time being not linear but reoccurring past lives, meetings with different people that you've known from previous lives, correcting and releasing negativity from your past, and moving forward in a more fulfilled existence. Keith Carrington’s experiences have led him to express his talents through the fluid & exacting mediums of watercolor & ink. He has honed his skills, clarified his vision, experimented, explored, and expanded his expression steadily over the years, the results of which thus far culminate here. Keith’s extensive travels have roots in the luminous quality of his work, eminently holding the utmost possibilities of beauty and significance. Keith’s most recent paintings explore a spiritual path, he integrates them with transformative healing energies and infuses his enthusiasm into these dynamic pieces that you see here today. After getting his BA and MA in fine art at the University of Wisconsin, Richard went to France to study with Stanley W. Hayter, (the father of modern printmaking). On returning to the US he opened a studio where he produced etchings, cast paper, paintings and sculptural commissions of his own work while at the same time helping other artists including Roy Lichtenstein, Larry Rivers, Marisol, George Segal, Raphael Soyer, Francoise Gilot and Jim Rosenquist to realize works in various media.
