Drawing from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition of the Tsakli - sets of miniature paintings featuring deities or ritual objects and used in ceremonies - Kass lends his sense of emboldened spontaneity to fill his figures with kinetic energy. Ranging from very abstracted to clearly discernible human forms, Kass's groups of Tsakli come together to form an animated chorus. Divine power and random chance, though oppositional, coalesce and intertwine in Kass' magnetic works.
