About the Item

Work belonging to the latest exhibition of the Manolo Eirin contemporary art gallery in A Coruña, Spain. The work is a drawing made by the artist for the exhibition using the assemblage technique with pieces of paint from other works of cotton canvas by the artist forming a common map. This is a contemporary tapestry. The artist paints multiple layers of inflatable silkscreen paint, which comes from the world of fashion. She handles colors and textures very well. Giving a new meaning to this ancient technique, she renews it and gives it life. In the tapestry we can see the different layers of paint that have been applied and how the artist digs over them later. The dimensions are 200 x 80 cm. It is a tapestry so it can be rolled up and shipped perfectly. It has a wooden bar as support. If you need more information, do not hesitate to contact us. TEXT OF THE EXHIBITION Painting is a territory in constant redefinition, where the tensions between surface, perspective, fiction or gesture intersect on the same plane. In this exhibition entitled “run out of paint”, Ventura Pérez, Vitor Mejuto and Ruth Vidal deploy different ways of approaching the pictorial, establishing a dialogue that oscillates between the narrative, the material and the structural. The encounter evidences and reveals the elasticity of contemporary painting. With Pérez (1992, Vigo), the image becomes a vehicle for fictional stories; from the perspective of Vidal (1998, Pontevedra), the pictorial material is revealed and hidden in a game of depth and surface; and with the contribution of Mejuto (1969, Barcelona), painting is structured in forms and colors that affirm its own autonomy. Together they show us that painting continues to expand its limits towards new horizons.

Japanese Botany, Original Contemporary Abstract Mixed Media Textile Wall Hanging
Located in Boston, MA
Japanese Botany, Original Contemporary Abstract Mixed Media Textile Wall Hanging Artist Commentary: INSPIRED IN JAPANESE AESTHETICS Keywords: Abstract, Nature, patterns, circles, ovals, white Artist Biography: My artwork is engaged to nature and its recurrent patterns and rhythms. I use them as a base in order to create my compositions. I´m attracted to repetitive sequences, combining separate elements to form a cohesive group. It isn’t a strict conceptual idea of repetition on itself; my work doesn’t seek to impose an order or structure, but rather to enjoy the rhythm of repetition. Silk and paper have the softness and malleability that I need in order to create my desired forms, shapes and even shadows. The process to carry out my work is thorough and methodical. I choose as materials small and simple elements; such as feathers made out of paper and silk and then organized in a precise order. This allows me to build a group of entities that end up being the final artwork. My goal is to create projects that inspire, connect and touch people emotionally, taking the viewer on a journey through different ethereal, botanical and peaceful landscapes. I was Born in Santiago, Chile in 1973. I grew up surrounded by Chilean...
