"Bud" by Shamona Stokes portrays a dreamy flower bud, closed and about to open. Use of watercolor and matte flashe paint on watercolor paper mounted on wood panel. Saturated and vibrant and pastel color palette including ochre, purple, lavender, terracotta brown, deep tan and both matte and watercolor wash. Watercolor pigment gradient from ochre golden yellow to lilac purple.
