    A fine limited edition color etching of a rooster titled “S.O.S.” by American artist Jamie Wyeth (b. 1946). Wyeth was born in Wilmington, DE and grew up in Chadd’s Ford, PA, the son of Andrew Wyeth, one of America’s most well known artists, and a grandson of the illustrator Newell Convers Wyeth. Wyeth studied under his aunt, Carolyn Wyeth, and apprenticed three years with his father before going to New York City to launch his own art career. During the 1960s and 70s, his portrait work included a posthumous President John F. Kennedy, Andy Warhol, and President Elect Jimmy Carter. Wyeth was commissioned by Harper's Magazine to cover the 1974 congressional hearings and trials of Watergate figures, and he even painted Christmas cards of the White House for President Ronald Reagan.     A fine abstract paper collage by American artist Varujan Boghosian (b. 1926). Boghosian was born in New Britain, CT and after serving in the United States Navy, he attended Central Connecticut Teachers College and the Vesper George School of Art in Boston. In 1953, he had a Fulbright grant to paint in Italy, and from 1956-1959, he worked with Josef Albers, geometric abstractionist, at Yale University where he earned both his BFA and MFA. Boghosian became a professor of sculpture at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, and became primarily known for his assemblages in which he uses a variety of incongruous objects such as parts of weathered barn doors, antique dolls' heads, old leather, marbles, and ping-pong balls.     Judith Brown ( 1931 – 1992) Watercolor, 1962 Spires (painting of sculpture) Hand signed Judith Brown (December 17, 1931 – May 11, 1992) was a dancer and a sculptor who was drawn to images of the body in motion and its effect on the cloth surrounding it. She welded crushed automobile scrap metal into energetic moving torsos, horses, and flying draperies. Brown attended Sarah Lawrence College in Yonkers, New York (B.A., 1954), where she learned to weld from her teacher, Theodore Roszak, a pioneering abstract expressionist sculptor. This is done in a style similar to Leonard Baskin. She is a well known feminist artist who also made some wonderful jewelry and judaica.
