"Butterfly Chaser" by Alexis Kandra is a black and white graphite drawing of a striped domestic cat chasing a pair of tiger swalltowtail butterflies with digitally distorted grid transfer on paper. Alexis loves to place her wildlife and animal portraits in the context of warping space-time grids, sometimes including diorama-like color fields and landscapes. Her artwork appears in galleries throughout the NYC metropolitan area and her illustrations are published in two wildlife books for children that are available at our gallery.
The artwork measures 10" x 8". The artwork is matted and framed with white matting and a simple black gallery style frame.
