A series of paintings depicting the sunset views from Pic Paradis, the highest point on the island of St. Martin. The paintings capture nature untamed in purple sea, blue sky, and strands of sun light in between. Single Sunset Pastel, 2020, 9 x 12” (unframed), Pastel on Bugra Hahnenmühle paper Brechneff was born in the Belgian Congo in 1950, raised in Switzerland and later came to study in the United States.
