This artwork "At the Dock" c.1980 is a watercolor on 500 Aquarelle paper by noted American artist Allen Daniel (Dan) Burt, 1930-2004. It is signed at the lower right corner by the artist. The artwork size is 21.5 x 29.5 inches, framed size is 29.5 x 37.5 inches. Custom framed in a white metal frame, with off-white matting. The artwork is in excellent condition, the frame has some minor scratches, the acrylic glass have some scratches and will be replaced by a new one when sold, before shipping. The over all condition is very good. About the artist: Born in Owensboro, Kentucky, he studied at the Ramon Froman School of Art in Cloudcroft, New Mexico and the Simon Michael School of Art in Rockport, Texas. He is active in numerous watercolor societies and exhibitions and lives in Kerrville, Texas. He has won more than 120 awards throughout his career. He had a painting accepted int to the International Small Image Exhibition, which included shows in China, and another show in San Pedro, Caliornia, One of his watercolors won an award at the 67th annual Texas Watercolor Society International Exhibition in May in New Braunfels and he had paintings accepted in the 149th American Watercolor Society International exhibition in New York City and the 95th Annual National Watercolor Society International exhibition in California. The work of Dan Burt is held in numerous collections.

Ritchie Allen Benson was born in Los Angeles. He studied at the Art Center School (Los Angeles) and was a member of the American Watercolor Society and the California Watercolor Society. Ritchie Allen Bensen grew up in the Los Angeles area during the World War II era. By the late 1950s, he was studying watercolor painting and by the 1960s was exhibiting on a national level. He spent a great deal of time painting along the California coast and was most interested in producing works which pictured boats and harbor scenes. His watercolors were sold through the Challis Gallery in Laguna Beach and through art association exhibition sales.
